WHAT:

  • An integrated and sustained media and grassroots campaign to secure renewal, passage, and permanency of the Trump Tax Cuts “as is” and other potential tax reforms in the first 100 days of the new Trump Administration.
  • Coalition of the free-market and business communities, supported by White House and Congressional leaders, mobilized to propel grassroots and political activations in key states and districts.
  • Community of unified advocates and stakeholders focused on ensuring tax rates remain at 2017 tax levels or below and ensuring pro-growth tax incentives remain in place to generate long-term economic prosperity.

WHO:

  • Spearheaded by economists Steve Moore, Dr. Art Laffer, and Steve Forbes – founders of Unleash Prosperity – who, along with along with Larry Kudlow, served as co-architects of 2017 Trump Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) plan.
  • Diverse coalition of free market and conservative leaders, business and employer groups, and other stakeholders.
  • National grassroots network of local advocates and political leaders engaged throughout the U.S.

 

Key Priorities:

  • Passing legislation making the 2017 Tax Cuts permanent within 100 days.
  • Protecting ALL of the 2017 reductions in tax rates on individuals, families, small businesses, and employers.
  • Ensuring business tax rates remain low and potentially lowering them further to 15 percent.
  • Securing capital expensing provisions to encourage greater business investment and economic growth.
  • Promoting the true economic impact of the tax cuts rather than using failed CBO scoring projections.

WHY:

    • Timely passage and renewal of the tax cuts serves as catalyst for immediate economic growth and to address current market uncertainties impeding it due to concerns over possible expiration of them if Congress fails to act.
    • Immediate passage of the tax cuts will allow for the economic benefits to be felt in advance of critically important midterm elections by all individuals, families, small businesses, and U.S. employers. (i.e., lessons from Reagan).
    • Failure to renew the tax cuts quickly could enable opponents to seize on any corresponding economic downturn to more effectively leverage false arguments and capitalize politically to prevent TCJA renewal and retake majorities.
